But at the end of the day, I’ll be the one to keep her alive.
“I don’t mind being the bad guy. I’ll make all the life and death decisions, while you’re busy worrying about collateral damage. And I’ll even let her hate me for it. But at the end of the day, I’ll be the one to keep her alive.”
And he always kept her alive, it was when Damon left town & she fell under Stefan’s protection again that Elena died. Stefan obeyed her and that’s what got her killed, he wasn’t strong enough to stand up against her and that’s why she drowned alone at the bottom of a lake.
My point is that Damon usually goes against Elena’s will but at the end of the day she’s still breathing, she’s mad at him, gets into a fit but the next day she wakes up again.
Do you know what the worst part of all this is? Stefan killed his girlfriend, the woman he claims to love, the girl he came to town for to start a life with her and he gives her up in two seconds. Call me whatever name in the book you want but if it had been Damon he hadn’t tolerated any of her resistance, he’d have gotten her out of there not caring if Matt lived or died. And she could have hated him for it, he would let her stake him for it and she probably would never talk to him again but it wouldn’t matter to him because she’d be alive.
And now his brother, the coward, unknowingly turned her into something she never wanted to be. And do you know what? It will eat Damon away because he left town for five minutes and she died. He’ll blame himself for it while his brother let the girl they both love die. The Elena we knew is dead. The Delena we knew will never be the same again.
All that because Stefan like usually wanted to please Elena & couldn’t man up for five seconds to save the woman he’s supposed to love and protect for eternity.
Stefan was the one that killed Elena. Damon was the one that kept her alive.
