'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Spoilers: Klaus and Elena's Transition

May 16, 2012 12:10 AM EDT
The Vampire Diaries season 3 ended with Elena drowning and coming back (thanks to the fact that she had vampire blood in her when she died) and Klaus in Tyler's body. It's still unclear just what Klaus is going to be up to, how long he'll be in Tyler's body, and when everyone will find out, but how is Klaus going to react to the fact that Elena's transitioning?
Vampire Diaries Season 4 Spoilers
According to TV Guide, Julie Plec has said, "The loss of the doppelgänger is gonna be a BFD for Klaus and will drive his actions for the season. Suddenly he's vulnerable for many reasons. There's a stake that can kill him, a witch that can desiccate him, and no way to build up the hybrid army he needs — psychologically, at least — to feel safe. Plus, Caroline's going to be peeved at him once she realizes he bamboozled her. In other words, he ain't gonna be so happy." It sounds like Klaus is going to be going through quite a lot—and his body's not exactly in the best condition. What's a hybrid to do?
That is going to be one of the questions to begin The Vampire Diaries season 4. The penultimate episode of season 3 saw Klaus planning to take Elena out of town and create his hybrid army and then saw him draining her when he got the chance. That was when they desiccated him, but it wasn't the end. Thanks to Bonnie's spell, he's in Tyler's body. He's going to have to deal with an angry Caroline once she finds out that her goodbyes with Tyler weren't exactly with the one she loved. He already had no chance with her. This is just going to cement that. Then there's the fact that his plan to create an army of hybrids is now gone since Elena's transitioning. Will someone end up in the crosshairs if all this anger gets to be too much for him? No one's ever really safe when he's around, and that means that although Mystic Falls may have gotten rid of Alaric after he went all evil, the town is still in danger.
Is the best thing for Klaus going to be to leave town? But what about those who are still left in his family? How are the other Originals going to react? When they thought he was dead, that's what led to Rebekah going after Elena. Will Klaus tell Rebekah and Elijah he's in Tyler's body or will he just sit back and watch what they do to everyone else since they think he's dead?
What do you think of the latest The Vampire Diaries season 4 spoilers?
